The New Hospital / Physician Recruiting - What's New for the County

In addition to ensuring the County hospital is equipped with the medical equipment it needs on an annual basis, Shannon is overseeing a $30M fundraising campaign which will result in a new hospital for Prince Edward County.
Shannon’s has been a career fundraiser for 38 years. Since then, she has raised millions of dollars for large institutions focused on the arts, academia, and healthcare. Some of which include the Royal Ontario Museum, the University of Toronto, Queen’s University, and the University Hospital’s Kingston Foundation.

Shannon has been a proud member of the Prince Edward County Community since 2008.

Adam Hambly, RRT, CRE, Physician Recruitment, Prince Edward Family Health Team

Adam has been a Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Respiratory Educator since 2011. He's led several provincial and regional lung health initiatives, most recently building the HPE Lung Health Network. His background in healthcare and program development laid the groundwork for his current role as Director of Physician Recruitment for County Docs, Prince Edward County’s physician recruitment and retention program. He built the program from the ground up, with the help of the Recruitment and Retention committee, in 2022. Since then, County Docs has grown into a robust program, offering tremendous value in both recruitment and retention services for the physician group in Prince Edward County.

In his spare time, you can find Adam instructing his indoor cycling class, or riding his gravel bike on the Millennium trail. He’s also an avid kayaker and currently working towards his Level III Certification in Wines through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. With hobbies like this, The County is a perfect place to call home.
