About our Club
The PROBUS Club of Prince Edward County was officially established on August 23, 2018 and the club has grown from 88 charter members to its current count of over 200 members. This relatively new club was sponsored by the PROBUS Club of Quinte and is one of 250 clubs throughout Canada.
Our club members are retired and semi-retired individuals who like to meet new people, socialize, participate in activities, and have fun. The Club meets monthly to hear guest speakers, discuss, and arrange club activities. Social events and group interest activities are ongoing throughout the month. See Club Activities for a more detailed list of activities.
We are non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit and non-fundraising. There is an elected management committee who keeps things organized but it is the members who shape the direction of the club through their advice and participation.
The goal of the PROBUS organization is to provide Fellowship, Friendship, and Fun for all men and women in their retirement and semi-retirement years.
We are a volunteer-based, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian fellowship organization with over 4,000 clubs worldwide, some 250 being Canadian clubs made up of over 35,000 members. Our clubs are all about encouraging healthy minds and bodies and socializing with other retirees in the community.
In PROBUS you’ll find a wealth of new experiences and a much expanded social network. The opportunities abound in each club with awesome guest speakers, a broad range of interesting activities and social events, stimulating conversation and the chance to explore your community, Canada and the world with new friends.
